Before going in to the topic, it should be mentioned here that same Alia once had appeared for audition at Bhansali’s studio, and was rejected too. It was for the film “Black” and Alia had given the audition for the younger role of Rani Mukharjee’s character. She was rejected at the screen test itself.
Well, that was a time. And, now, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is trying his best to convince Alia. It is here to note that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie, which is said to be Sahir Ludhianvi biopic, is actually based on the love story between Sahir Ludhianvi and Amruta Pritam. However, interesting here is to mention that Deepika Padukone is the most recent to reject the role of Amruta Pritam. In fact, Chopra sisters Priyanka and Parineeti have also rejected the role. All the three cited that the character is not strong enough. But, it is being rumored that these actresses are actually not interested in being paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan who has been locked to play the protagonist in the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic.
Anyway, it seems like Sanjay’s problem is going to be solved soon. Reportedly, Sanjay has modified the script, emphasising more on Amruta Pritam’s character, and more importantly somehow has managed to impress Alia. In fact, rather than Sahir Ludhianvi biopic, Sanjay changed the title to “Ghustakhiyaan” to ensure the movie doesn’t sound being based on the male protagonist only. Though no official confirmation has been given by Alia on this matter, but the chances are looking positive for Bhansali.
Bhansali has praised Alia a lot as well, saying he is thoroughly impressed by the development of Alia as an actress. He further added the level of maturity Alia has shown by thoroughly balancing his career path, at such a young age is phenomenal.
Well, Alia Bhatt is indeed currently the number one actress in tinsel town, despite the fact that she is only 25. Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movies include Raazi (releasing on 11th May), Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (to release 14th February 2019), Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra (releasing 15th August 2019), and Kalank (releasing April 19th, 2019).
