Jyotsna Chandola Singh is a popular name in TV arena. When it comes about Jyotsna Chandola serials, people spontaneously remember Maan Bai of Jodhaa Akbar, Rajo of Agnifera, Anamika in Mrs Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuein, Billo Rani/Khushi Sankalp/K.B. of Sasural Simar Ka, Bitto of Santoshi Maa, and various guest appearances in serials like Crime Patrol and Saavdhan India. But, the one that gave her immense popularity was the Maha Devi Pandey character from Bhagonwali. She has made some candid confessions during an interview. When are you returning to Agnifera? The fans of the show and yours are eagerly waiting. They love the bonding between you and Yukti.
Not sure about that. Well, that can happen very soon. I’ll join when the production house gives me a call.
Your social media profile tells you are an ardent fitness freak. Is there any special reason behind that?
I work out simply to eat all those I like, without any hitch, guilt or worry. But yes, I ensure there are certain restrictions which I am obeying sincerely. I feel good when I look good. And above all, this makes me feel strong and powerful, which is very important for me.
Are these the only reasons or there is any upcoming project that demands you to stay at the top of fitness?
Well, staying fit matters these days for most of the shows. But, my fitness regime is a regular schedule for me and it has nothing to do with any kind of upcoming project; it is quite natural.
Which kind of reality shows would you love doing?
When it comes about reality show, I would love doing something like Big Boss. This is so as I feel I am quite emotional as a person, at the same time fun loving. In concurrence, I know how to fight for my rights. All these characteristics I feel make me a perfect contender for a show like Big Boss as audience always love these things on the show. And yes, I would love doing Khatron ke Khiladi as I love adventure very much.
Though your face doesn’t look the same, but you have impressed with various negative characters. Do you feel satisfied doing these or any kind of special affection towards such characters?
There is never any attraction towards the characters we portray. What more important is that the character you play should suit you well. Moreover, you should feel confident about doing justice to the character that it demands.
